I embarked on my writing career in the late 1990s after writing my first novel. After earning a BA in Management and Human Relations from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee, I was yearning for more. This longing led me to launch a Christian magazine for women, followed by an indie press to further my commitment to empowering female authors.

Despite these wonderful opportunities, I learned an important life lesson: sometimes, ambition can drive us to move ahead of God's plan. Nearly twenty years ago, I also explored atheism, and I attribute Joyce Meyer for influencing my journey to becoming the dedicated believer I am today. I serve as proof that people can be transformed in remarkable ways.

 

Earning a Master's in English and Creative Writing, combined with my former experience as an English professor, has guided me to the path I find myself on. Allowing divine inspiration to guide my creativity and storytelling has enriched my work, bringing more depth and meaning like never before. 

 

Partnering with YouVersion enables me to make a meaningful impact. This platform amplifies my mission to spread the gospel with people around the world. In this same way, I'm excited about 2025 and what lies ahead, as I look forward to unveiling all that God has in store for this new chapter in my life.

Born in California and having moved from Tennessee, I now call West Michigan home. I reside with my husband, daughter, and our small zoo of pets. As a beach enthusiast, I cherish the time I spend on the shores of Lake Michigan, enveloped by its stunning natural beauty.​
